TYPE OF TESTING AVAILABLE

We offer pre-employment, random (computerized), reasonable suspicion, post-accident, and return to work NON-DOT urine drug testing. (DOT=Department of Transportation).

This type of testing is accepted by most organizations except those that specifically require DOT testing.

ALCOHOL TESTING

Urine alcohol testing reflects the amount of alcohol present in the system.  A level of 0.08% may be considered legally drunk. The time detectable in urine is normally less than a day.

HOW THE TESTING PROCESS WORKS

After we set up your account, your employees will be able to access thousands of Drug Test Express network sites from coast to coast.  Most of these sites are walk-in facilities.  You are welcome to use our Test Site Locator to determine the location of test sites convenient for you.  Major cities in the U.S. have multiple sites.  An employee will be tested at the site and then the specimen will be transported to the laboratory.  If the result is negative, you should receive your results the next day after lab receipt.  Positives generally take another 48 hours to confirm the level and then an MRO review will occur.  Please note that the test site only collects the specimen and does not report results and is not equipped to answer questions about results.

 POSITIVE TEST RESULTS

Positive test results are automatically reconfirmed by GC/MS, the only method recognized as definitive by the U.S. Supreme Court.  GC/MS testing can take up to 48-72 hours (excluding holidays and weekends).

MRO (MEDICAL REVIEW OFFICER) REVIEW

After the MRO (a physician specializing in the testing of drugs of abuse) has reviewed the GC/MS positive results, he will contact the employee involved, and then issue a final  verbal and written result.

Our affiliated laboratories are SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration)/DHHS (Department of Health & Human Services) Certified.

 CHAIN OF CUSTODY

We use this method throughout all phases of collection and testing to maintain the integrity of all results and minimize the possibility of tampering.
